Spanish National Honor Society
The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is national honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. We recognize students who demonstrate exemplary academic achievement in languages, overall academic performance and a commitment to serving their local community. To join students must:

To join students must:
1) have scored 90 or above in Spanish 1 and in Spanish 2
2) have a 3.75 GPA overall in all their classes
3) pay $25 membership fees each year
4) participate in meetings in person (must attend 66% of meetings after their induction ceremony)
5) never had disciplinary actions grades 9-12
6) complete community service projects (pre-approved by advisor and totaling 5+ hours of service)
7) be a sophomore, junior or senior and have already completed Spanish level 2.
8) be currently enrolled in Spanish 3 or 4 Honors at CHS or currently enrolled in HGTC SPA 101, 102, 201, 202.
Our CHS Chapter name is Lucas Vázquez de Ayllón and our motto is "¡Todos a una!" ("All Together for One Goal").
