For the 2009-2010 school year, teachers will again average grades four times during the semester. However, the interim grade, which is calculated 4 ½ weeks into the grading period, will not be a permanent grade. It will be a progress report grade at that time and be changed to the nine-weeks' average at the end of the grading period. Once the nine-weeks' grade is entered, the interim grade will disappear from the report card.
At 13 ½ weeks there will be another interim grading period. This grade also will disappear from the report card once the actual grade for the second nine-week period is entered.
At the end of the term, there will be only three grades to average: the first nine weeks, the second nine weeks, and the final exam. These three grades are to be calculated in the following manner:
| First nine weeks |
